We are thrilled to announce, in partnership Upper Grand District School Board and the Wellington Catholic District School Board the launch of The Lego Social Group, a unique program designed to foster healthy social interactions among students and peers. Our group sessions will be centered around a weekly theme, such as animals, buildings, vehicles, television/game characters, and more.
For this workshop we believe that play is not only fun but also a powerful tool for developing social skills. Each week, participants will have the opportunity to fulfill distinct roles, including being a helper, builder, supplier, and engineer. By engaging in collaborative Lego building activities, students will learn to work together, communicate effectively, and problem-solve as a team.
The ideal participants are students ages 9-12 who can work in a group, address a person speaking, communicate in full sentences, and have a genuine interest in building Legos with their peers. We aim to create a safe and inclusive environment where children can form lasting friendships while honing their social skills.
Join us at the Lego Social Group and watch as social confidence and abilities grow… one brick at a time! Register today and embark on a journey of fun, creativity, and meaningful connections.
