About Behaviour Solutions
Dufferin Child and Family Services (DCAFS) is a multi-service agency providing developmental support, child and youth mental health and child protection services. We have also been a direct provider of ABA Services in Dufferin County since 2013. Our team, which is supervised by Registered Behaviour Analysts (R.B.A. (Ont.)), has a significant number of years experience working with a wide range of individuals in a variety of capacities.
All services include a thorough assessment to help address your family’s goals, followed by a written service agreement.

Service Navigator
New to the OAP (Ontario Autism Program), have questions about services, looking for help with your budget, DCAFS Service Navigator is available to help. This role is designed to aid families in learning about the services available for the family, or family member, and what the benefits of various approaches and services can be.

Fee-for-service
DCAFS offers a variety of group or individual services for children of all abilities. These program offers a wide variety of behavioural services to meet the specific needs of children, youth and families and services are customized following a clinical assessment to determine what will optimize the targeted skill development.
Behaviour supports
Our Behaviour Supports programs are designed to meet your family’s goals through the creation of an individualized behaviour support plan. Goals may include: Daily Living Skills, Behaviour Management Skills, School Readiness Skills, Social Skills, and Communication Development.
Skill-based groups
All our skills-based groups are created with an individualized curriculum and are designed using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Each child or youth will be given the opportunity to practice, learn and maintain relevant skills while promoting independence in a leisure setting.
Connection-based groups
Connection-Based groups have been designed to provide enjoyable social opportunities for children and youth. Each group has been created with the objective of practicing skills while creating opportunities to connect with others their own age.
1:1 Respite
Get ready to take a breather and recharge with our brand new 1:1 Respite program with Behaviour Solutions DCAFS! This program is all about giving you a much-needed break from the daily grind of caregiving. Our dedicated and trained Respite Team is here to support you every step of the way, so you can rest easy knowing your loved one is well cared for.

What is OAP?
Children and youth who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by a qualified professional are eligible for the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) under the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS). What Services does Dufferin Child and Family Service (DCAFS) provide?
DCAFS offers Behavioural Service to meet specific needs for children, youth and families. Each plan is customize following a clinical assessment to determine what service will optimize targeted skill development..

Where are services provided?
Following a clinical assessment the clinician, in collaboration with the family, will determine the best service option to optimize outcomes for the child and family:
- Services occur at the in-centre location at 224 Centennial Rd,
- Orangeville
- In-home
- Or other locations depending on the skill being targeted
What are the service hours at DCAFS?
Our OAP program hours are as follows:
- Monday 8:30am -5:00pm
- Tuesday 8:30am – 6:30pm
- Wednesday 8:30am – 6:30pm
- Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm
- Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
Which funding can I use to pay for service?
There are a variety of funding sources that families can use to pay for service. Please refer to the OAP https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontario-autism-program to determine how the funds you receive can be used to purchase services.

Do your services meet OAP clinical criteria?
Yes, we have two Board Certified Behavioural Analysts who are registered with OAP for clinical supervision. Additionally, all the Instructor Therapists have completed the course work for Registered Behavioural Technician.
